As a popular and successful school we are always excited to strengthen our staffing team and increase our curriculum choices for students. The post will involve teaching to age ranges personalised to the strengths of the individual teacher, this could include Sixth Form teaching.

We are looking to employ a well qualified teacher with a record of delivering high quality lessons with excellent student outcomes, or a recently qualified teacher.

We will consider applicants with a strength in Art, Design or Technology.

If additional responsibilities would interest you please include reference to this in your supporting statement.

Our school takes a leading role in the arts and technology, both locally, regionally and in our multi academy trust. Our innovative, outward looking and ambitious approach has led to Thomas Gainsborough School being recognised with the highest award for education settings, the platinum level Artsmark Award from the Arts Council of England three times, only the second school in the country to do so.

There are enrichment opportunities across all key stages, with dedicated support from subject leaders and an excellent assistant headteacher who oversees the arts and technology subjects.

In September 2015 the school moved into an award-winning new building, where subjects are taught in specialist rooms either in our Sixth Form block or alongside other classrooms. The team is very supportive and expectations for students are high.

Thomas Gainsborough School is a consistently high performing, well resourced, and truly comprehensive school, with a firm belief in excellence for each and every student, placing students at the heart of their curriculum. You can find out more about the school at www.tgschool.net

The school is located just south of Sudbury in Suffolk and is within easy reach of Colchester, Ipswich and Bury St Edmunds.
