Caretaker

Start Date: ASAP

Salary: NJC Scale 4 SP7 - 11 (£20,443 - £22,129 per annum)

Contract Type: Permanent, full time (37 hours per week / 52 weeks per year)

Felixstowe School is situated on the beautiful Suffolk coast; a fantastic place to live and work, a reasonable travelling distance from London, Cambridge and Norwich. We are an inclusive school and part of the Unity Schools Partnership (USP).

We require a flexible, reliable, trustworthy and enthusiastic Caretaker to help us maintain our buildings, site services and lettings programme working under the direction of the Premises Manager.

We operate three shift programmes, plus some weekend working on a rota basis.  This will be discussed at interview.

General duties will include:

  • Routine maintenance work
  • Carrying out routine health and safety checks
  • Locking and securing the school building
  • Responding to site and premises emergencies
  • Support with lettings at either school

You will need to be methodical and precise, a team player with good interpersonal skills. Shift work and some weekend working is required.
