Salary: Leading Practitioner Range £41,267 to £44,218

Contract Type:  Permanent, full time

As a popular and successful school, we are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, hardworking teacher of Design Technology or Engineering to contribute to the teaching of materials-based technology courses and to help develop teaching across our 11-18 school.

The successful candidate would be able to teach at least some of GCSE Design Technology, BTEC Engineering, 3D Modelling or A Level Product Design.

They would also be part of team of Lead Practitioners, working with the Deputy Headteacher to develop teaching through observations, coaching, transferring their expertise and contributing to professional development.

You will have access to a wide range of support and development opportunities through our well-developed CPD programme.

Therefore, we are looking for someone who:

  • Is an excellent teacher and is able to share their practice effectively
  • Has a record of raising attainment of their students
  • Has an up to date knowledge of curriculum developments, current education policy and progression routes for business students.
  • Is committed to high standards and ensuring that all groups of students make progress
  • Is willing to work flexibly
  • Has excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Is able to solve problems and be proactive
  • Has an excellent sense of humour
